Artist Statement
The expanse of the foothills of the Rockies and the unending fields of the prairies are something to behold. There is the feeling of abundance in the flowers of the Canola fields. 3’x 5’

About Bridget
Bridget is an award-winning Fibre Artist. Layers of thread create shading effects. Much like pencil crayon but using stitching techniques, traditional piecing and quilting techniques. Currently, this work explores the use of sustainable materials, natural and hand dyed, organic fabrics. Inspired by nature and biodiversity this art introduces the fragile aspects of the environment. Species at risk, traditional and historically significant fibre crafts are highlighted.
