Artist Statement
Serene, quiet, peaceful and beautiful. How lucky we are to have precious moments spent on borrowed land with borrowed time. What if we miss the chance? Spending days with my family on a lone island. If not now, then when? Will it be here tomorrow?

About Bridget
Bridget is an award-winning Fibre Artist. Layers of thread create shading effects. Much like pencil crayon but using stitching techniques, traditional piecing and quilting techniques. Currently, this work explores the use of sustainable materials, natural and hand dyed, organic fabrics. Inspired by nature and biodiversity this art introduces the fragile aspects of the environment. Species at risk, traditional and historically significant fibre crafts are highlighted.
